TRAVEL NEWS + INSPIRATION

Happy New Year- Here's to an amazing 2021!

I am sitting here closing out my books and reviewing the year our agency has had. 2020 was to be a turning point for my business. I was so excited as I started out in January thinking of what the full year would look like for us. But it didn't go as planned.

In fact, no one's 2020 went as they had planned.

As I now reflect on what 2020 did bring us, I try to find the positive. This was something that was very hard for me during the year. To have a positive mindset in the midst of so much sadness for so many, seemed wrong. But I realize that it's ok to find that hope. We need to cling to that to continue strong. And I wanted to share some of the happiness I found during this year.

1-I was grateful for my family, and how close we are.

2- I learned to change my focus on what is most important in my life.

3-My husband and both kids were working in the grocery stores at the time everything shut down. They worked long hours and were there to help. I love them for these traits. I am happy that we raised children with such high work ethics.

4-I had more time to really work on our travel agency. Pull back the curtains and take a close look at everything.

5- I learned how to expand my marketing efforts

6- I developed a few close relationships with other travel agency owners. Without them, I would not have been able to get through this year.

7-I realized that my passion for helping families connect through travel was still strong and that I truly love what I am building.

8- We brought on 3 new agents to work with us(yes even during the pandemic).

9- I created a new training program for our agency.

10- I let things roll off my shoulder much more now than I use to. Life to too short to worry about the little things. Love is important in everyone's lives.

Cheers to you my friend. I can't wait to see what 2021 will bring us all!

Sincerely,

Denise Lorentzen
