Halloween Horror Nights 2026: Your Complete Guide to Every House and Scare Zone at Universal Orlando
Halloween Horror Nights is celebrating its 35th year at Universal Orlando Resort, and this year's event, themed "Infernal Carnival of Nightmares," is one of the biggest yet. Ten brand-new haunted houses, four scare zones, and two live shows make up the lineup, running select nights from August 28 through November 1, 2026. The 2026 Theme: Infernal Carnival of Nightmares
For the first time in Halloween Horror Nights history, two of the event's most iconic characters, Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow, are appearing together as allies rather than rivals. Their combined "Infernal Carnival of Nightmares" theme ties the entire event together, from the haunted houses to the scare zones to the merchandise.

Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control
The anchor house of the event tells the origin story behind this year's dual icons. Guests witness Jack the Clown's unholy backstory before stepping into Dr. Oddfellow's twisted dimension, known as the Oddverse, where the two face off in what Universal calls a "deathmatch of chaos versus control."
Sinners
Based on the Academy Award-winning film, this house drops guests into Club Juke, the 1930s Mississippi Delta juke joint at the center of the movie. The music is playing and the party is underway, until bloodthirsty vampires led by Remmick crash it.
Stranger Things 5
Set during the show's fifth and final season, this house sends guests through familiar Hawkins locations, including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, the MAC-Z military base, the Upside Down, and the Abyss. Demogorgons hunt at every turn, and Vecna pulls guests into the final battle.
H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular
This original house brings back cult-favorite horror host Larry Kurtzberg, better known as H.R. Bloodengutz, 15 years after his first appearance at Halloween Horror Nights. Set inside the fictional WKNB Television Station, guests tune into a deranged marathon of straight-to-TV Halloween movies Bloodengutz never got to broadcast the first time around.
MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals
An original concept set in a defunct zoo, now a post-apocalyptic hunting ground. Guests move through former animal enclosures, each now claimed by a faction of humans who've adopted the mannerisms and appetites of the species that used to live there.
Cybergoria
Set thousands of years in the future, this original house wakes guests from cryo-sleep into a cold, machine-controlled world. The machines built to make humanity immortal have found a much darker way to do it: harvesting human flesh and replacing it with synthetic parts.
INVASION: Alien Abduction
A remote homestead becomes ground zero for an alien invasion as a ship full of Grays tears the place apart in search of fresh test subjects. Expect no shortage of extraterrestrial scares in this original house.
Hellraiser
Making its first-ever appearance at Halloween Horror Nights, this house draws from the original Clive Barker trilogy: Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, and Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth. Guests open the infamous Lament Configuration puzzle box and move through the shadowy attic of the Cotton family home, the Channard Institute, and the Labyrinth, where Pinhead and the Cenobites await. Original Pinhead actor Doug Bradley reprises the role.
Evil Dead Burn
Guests enter the Price family's secluded vacation home in the woods, where an ancient evil has once again been unleashed. Ferocious Deadites lurk around every turn as the nightmare grows more intense.
Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness
A tribute to the late heavy metal icon, this house takes guests through ancient ruins and foreboding dungeons before boarding the "Crazy Train" for a journey inspired by the covers of Ozzy's fan-favorite solo albums, including Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin, and Black Rain.

Downtown Clown Town
When the Infernal Carnival rolls into the streets of New York, a troupe of maniacal clowns takes over the city in honor of Jack the Clown. Expect a mix of clowns from different eras and origins, including the Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Art the Clown.
Infernal Carnival of Nightmares
Jack and Dr. Oddfellow invite guests to "step right up" and see what horrors hide in every shadow at this sinister carnival spectacle.
Sideshow of Decay
Set in a carnival junkyard, this scare zone centers on Cindy Caine, daughter of former HHN icon The Caretaker. Using Dr. Oddfellow's dark sorcery, Cindy opens a portal to resurrect decayed nightmares from Halloween Horror Nights history, pulling past characters back into the present.
Fortnitemares
Tied to Epic Games' annual in-game Halloween event, this scare zone has guests "drop in" from the Battle Bus into an ever-evolving, high-stakes battleground overrun by a threatening force, complete with familiar Fortnite characters and a few HHN-exclusive additions.
The 2 Live Shows at Halloween Horror Nights 2026
Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir
A vampirish production packed with death-defying stunts and heart-pumping music. If you're doing the RIP Tour, this is the show where you'll get reserved seating.
Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins
A new lagoon show reviewing all five seasons of the Netflix series, framed as a broadcast from the fictional Hawkins radio station WSQK, "The Sqwuak." Music, dialogue, and iconic moments from the show are projected across mist screens and buildings surrounding the lagoon, with repeat showings encouraged since no single vantage point catches the entire 350-foot display.
Street Experiences
In addition to the houses, scare zones, and shows, Halloween Horror Nights 2026 also features two returning street experiences: Mel's Die-In: Zombies, where zombie carhops have swarmed the classic diner, and Club Horror, which transforms the San Francisco area of the park into an undead DJ-fronted dance party.
